Edge Grinding / Polishing

GRINDING is a highly complex work step within the framework of glass edge processing: the process is primarly used to get the glass sheets to final size!

GLASS GRINDING means edge processing of glass panels with cutting-edge machines providing safety in glass handling and operation besides pleasant appearance. Transparent Design can execute the edge on both straight and curved surfaces. The rounded corners are absolutely necessary in case of certain products such as the table tops due to safety reasons.

Our machines can process both float glass up to 19 mm and the duplex / laminated glass, providing a matt or polished appearance to processed edges, according to the customer’s requirements.

Technology

Transparent Design has 3 double-edger machines – automatically process the edge in a single pass. Increased productivity (1000 ml edge polishing / 8 hour shift) and the accuracy of final dimensions are the advantages of this machine.

Also, the machine Bavelloni VE 500 – V10 can be adjusted for the obtaining of a blunt edge 0 – 45 °.

For other complex shapes as glass panels for stair railings or furniture, we use, for edge processing, our four CNC- s that allows us to obtain top quality flat glass ( visual and accuracy in sizes).
