Sustainability in Glass Processing
Our Glass processing is an high energy consumer process and the also requires a lot of water for everyday manufacturing, that can have a big impact on the environment. This has led us to an increased interest in sustainability, apart from the economic reasons.
Sustainable measures
There are some sustainable measures that are being taken to make the process more environmentally friendly:
Recycle the glass waste (it is collected by SAINT GOBAIN and reused in glass production),
Finding alternative energy sources
Using advanced technology in production
First step was made in 2020 when we bought our first electric cars and charging stations.

Water treating and depurating
We have started to reuse the water in our production flow: we have an installation made by IMMMES SRL ITALY for water treating and depurating, solving of discharge pollution into sewer. The mud collected from water is disposed into collecting bags. The capacity of the installation was upgraded constantly to our production capacity. So the actual system is 120.000 l /hour.

Solar power plant
In 2021 we have decided to build a solar power plant of 1,6 million euros, in partnership with E.ON. This first project made a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The photovoltaic system formed initially of 2784 panels, installed on the roof of our factory, of the warehouses and on the ground had a nominal power installed of 1,286 kWp, insuring 1,460 MWh of renewable energy, with a decrease of CO2 emissions of 367 tons every year.
In 2022-2024 we have extended the capacity of our photovoltaic system up to 2.2 MWh, having around 3.500 panels, investment that ensure nowadays up to 86% of the necessary energy for our factory, and a reduction in CO₂ emissions of 550 tons per year.

OUR 2.2 MWh solar plant stands as a testament to our unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship and the pursuit of clean energy alternatives. Through meticulous planning, cutting-edge technology, and the collaboration of our skilled team, we have transformed a vision of a greener future into a tangible reality.
