Transparent Design, the largest flat glass processor in Romania, which carries out the entire range of processing with its own machinery, marks 20 years of activity on the Romanian glass market
With a state-of-the-art 15,000 sqm production facility with a daily processing capacity of 1,800 sqm/day/shift, Transparent Design offers customized glass solutions for diverse architectural projects ranging from office buildings and commercial spaces to HORECA locations and residential developments.
Investing for excellence and quality
One of the pillars of the company’s development has been constant investment in technology and production infrastructure. We have acquired state-of-the-art equipment from leading suppliers, increasing our production capacity and diversifying our product portfolio. Today, we offer toughened and laminated glass, enameled glass, CNC machining, digital ceramic ink printing, as well as newly announced expansions in the segment of processing up to 9m glass sheets and curved glass.
Some of the most important investments that have propelled the company include:
- Acquisition of the production and office building where the company’s headquarters are currently located, with a total area of 38,900 square meters;
- Expansion of the main production unit with 2 more production halls, and this year we will finalize another hall for the processing of glass sheets up to 9m in size;
- Building your own solar power plant with approx. 3,500 photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 2.2 MWh, which supports up to 86% of the energy needs of the production, thus reducing costs and carbon emissions;
- The purchase and installation of three securing furnaces, with a fourth furnace to be commissioned this year, which will allow us to process up to 9m sheets of glass;
- Expanded production capabilities for laminated glass, so that we can now laminate glass with EVA, PVB and Sentry films;
- Purchase of a modern digital printing line with ceramic ink on glass for sheets up to 6000x3200mm, the only one of its kind in Romania;
- Continuous expansion of our glass processing capabilities for irregular shapes, stampings, holes, by increasing the number of CNC machining centers to 7, technology that allows us to process glass with high precision, to the highest visual and functional standards;
- Recognition of the company’s sustainable development through ISO certifications for Environment and Occupational Health and Safety, as well as international certifications for securing, laminating and Heat Soak processes;
- Continuous automation of existing production processes;
- Entering the curved glass segment, by investing in bending modules for existing toughening furnaces as well as for glass sheets up to 9m, to be commissioned this year.
New chapter of development, same commitment to strong partnerships
At 20 years in business we remain true to our credo of delivering quality and building trusted partnerships with our customers. We want to mark this anniversary with a new visual identity, to be visible from April, namely a new logo to mark a new chapter in the company’s development.
The new logo has a visual artifice in the letters T and D, designed to subtly capture the transformations that the raw material, glass, goes through. “We are keeping the same color spectrum, but updating the shades to bring a modern edge and anchor the chromatic brand in the glass industry.” says Alina Nechifor, Managing Partner Transparent Design.
The slogan to complement the new identity: “Success is built on trust”, reflects our commitment to strong partnerships based on mutual success, and the descriptor helps us define our core business of providing customized glass solutions.
